1. Drink more water and less soda and other sugary drinks. You will be shocked at how much weight you can lose over the course of a year by simply drinking more water. Sodas can add 300-500 calories over the course of a day. That adds up to a lot of extra weight.
3. Don't eat everything on your plate. I know, we were all taught that it was important to finish everything on our plates before getting up from the dinner table. The truth is, that was bad advice. How often do you eat and get full, but have more on your plate so you eat it because you think that is the right thing to do? More often than you realize.
4. Got those late evening cravings? Instead of heading to the "border", or having that big fat bowl of ice cream and syrup, grab a piece of fruit. I know it is not what you may be craving, but it works. You can even cut up some apples, bananas, peaches, or other fruit and make it into your own fruit cocktail. Save the rest in a plastic bowl and you will have enough for snacks all week long.
